MTJ began with one simple belief: good clothes deserve more than one chance.

What started as my personal project after fashion school slowly grew into something much bigger than I ever imagined. As the brand grew, so did the team. And today, my sister and I run MTJ side by side.

I spend my days designing collections and reimagining forgotten pieces. She makes sure everything behind the scenes runs just as thoughtfully.

We're still a small, women-led team, and we hope MTJ proves that you don't need a big company to create something meaningful.

After graduating from fashion school in Bandung, I spent a lot of my weekends wandering around thrift markets. I loved finding unique pieces for myself, but after a while I started paying attention to the clothes everyone else ignored. Some had amazing fabric but an outdated cut. Some had beautiful details hidden in designs that just didn't feel wearable anymore.

It made me think... these pieces still had something to offer. So I bought a few home and started experimenting. I'd sketch ideas, pair different garments together, and work with my tailor to give them a new shape.
